RMSW Group Hike at Mt. Zirkel Loop Trail

THIS EVENT IS CURRENTLY FULL.

Now that summer is in full swing and winter is just about out of sight (hopefully), the wildflowers are in full bloom and the trails are ready for hikes! We are excited to announce our first group hike on the Mt. Zirkel Loop Trail, also known as the Zirkel Circle. Leave the kids at home with your husbands, but dogs are welcome, if they’re up for it! This is a more difficult hike as it is 10.3 miles with 2500 feet of elevation gain. Hunting season is around the corner, and we need to get our legs ready.

The trail head is located in Clark, Colorado, just about an hour from Steamboat. If you would like to read more information about this hike check out this All Trails link to read more about it and see some more photos!

We will be meeting at the Steamboat Springs Wal-Mart parking lot at 7:00 am on Sunday, July 28th. We will be car pooling to the trail head. If you are participating, please RSVP below and let us know in the message section if you would be interested in driving, or if you would just like to ride along. We would like to have everybody RSVP’d by Sunday, July 21st, so that we have time to coordinate carpooling and such.

Please come prepared for a full day outing with water, snacks, proper footwear and layers, and a positive attitude. This will be a fun day of hiking, exploring the wilderness, and bonding with your fellow Routt County Sportswomen. If you would like, you can bring a fly rod for the trip and test your luck in some of the high alpine lakes and streams along the way.
