Ice fishing season is here! Here at Rocky Mountain Sportswomen, ice fishing is one of our favorite activities, and one of our favorite skills to share. Join us Saturday, February 11th at Steamboat Lake State Park for some fishing fun. Steamboat Lake is located about 45 minutes north of Steamboat Springs near Clark, Colorado, and is known as one of Colorado’s Gold Medal waters. A parks pass is required in order to park at the lake. We will meet at the Steamboat Lake State Park Marina parking lot, and head out to our fishing spot from there!
You MUST have a fishing license to participate! You can purchase your license online at the Colorado Parks & Wildlife website, or at the State Parks office. Be sure to dress appropriately for cold, snowy weather, and bring any snacks, water, and ice fishing gear you may have. If you have never been ice fishing before, that’s okay! We will teach you along the way, and show you how fun it can be. The State Park will provide us with plenty of extra rods and augers for us as well. Kids are also welcome!
This event is FREE, however, we always accept monetary donations to cover any costs for bait and tackle, and for future Rocky Mountain Sportswomen events! A $10 donation is suggested for this event and to make a donation, click here. You can also support our efforts by shopping for Rocky Mountain Sportswomen merchandise from our Shop page!
Please RSVP below so that we may know how many people to expect, and plan accordingly. Let us know if you have any questions, and we look forward to fishing with you!
