We are hosting another ice fishing clinic in March at Stagecoach State Park. Click here for details!
Ice fishing season is officially here, and we have a few outings planned for you ladies! Join us for a fun-filled day at Steamboat Lake State Park hitting the hard water with your fellow Rocky Mountain Sportswomen. Steamboat Lake is located about 45 minutes north of Steamboat Springs near Clark, Colorado. A parks pass is required in order to park at the lake. We will meet at the Steamboat Lake State Park office at 9am, then head to our fishing spot from there.
You MUST have a fishing license to participate! You can purchase your license online at the Colorado Parks & Wildlife website, or at the State Parks office. Be sure to dress appropriately for cold, snowy weather, and bring any snacks, water, and ice fishing gear you may have. If you have never been ice fishing before, that’s okay! We will teach you along the way, and show you how fun it can be. The State Park will provide us with extra rods and augers for us as well.
This event is free, however, we always accept monetary donations to cover any costs for bait and tackle, and for future Rocky Mountain Sportswomen events! A $10 donation is suggested for this event and to make a donation, click here.
Please RSVP below so that we may know how many people to expect, and plan accordingly. Let us know if you have any questions, and we look forward to fishing with you!
