Women's Turkey Hunting Clinic with Colorado Parks & Wildlife

  • Colorado Parks & Wildlife Office 925 Weiss Drive Steamboat Springs, CO, 80487 United States (map)

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO THE COVID-19 SITUATION. We will be sure to re-post a new date within the next couple of weeks, and hope to get you ladies prepared for the upcoming turkey season.

When people think of turkey hunting, a lot of people don’t think about hunting these guys here in Colorado. Along with a wide range of wildlife, both merriam and rio grande turkeys can be found lurking in our woods. With only a few short weeks before spring turkey season, we decided to put together a women’s turkey hunting clinic with Colorado Parks & Wildlife!

If you have always wanted to go turkey hunting, or would just simply like to learn more about the subject, join us at the Colorado Parks & Wildlife office in Steamboat Springs on Tuesday, March 24th from 6pm-9pm alongside other women, including CPW’s Education and Hunter Outreach Coordinator, Kathleen Tadvick. Turkey hunting season runs from April 11th through May 31st. We want to make sure you are properly prepared for the season, and provide you with the best tips, tricks, and tactics on how to bag these big, beautiful gobblers. We will also go over rules and regulations to hunting turkeys in Colorado, as well as unit and tag opportunities.

By attending this clinic, you will receive first priority to sign up and attend our ladies weekend turkey hunt in May! More details will be announced on the night of the clinic before we open it up to the rest of the public. We will also be doing a few giveaways to promote enthusiasm for turkey hunting and being a part of Rocky Mountain Sportswomen.

In order to attend this clinic, you must RSVP below, and have purchased your annual habitat stamp, to show your support for CPW’s efforts. Anyone between the ages of 18 an 64 must buy a stamp in order to buy or apply for a hunting or fishing license. Habitat stamps only cost $10 annually, and help fund the Colorado Wildlife Habitat Program (CWHP). For more information on the Habitat Stamp, or if you still need to purchase one, visit the Colorado Parks & Wildlife website. You may also purchase one at checkout when you buy your annual fishing license, or turkey tag!

Please RSVP below, and we look forward to talking turkey with you!
