It’s finally ice fishing season, and we have a few outings planned for you ladies! Join us for a fun-filled day at Steamboat Lake State Park hitting the hard water with your fellow Rocky Mountain Sportswomen. Steamboat Lake is located about 45 minutes north of Steamboat Springs near Clark, Colorado. A parks pass is required in order to park at the lake. With that being said, we can arrange to meet at the Walmart parking lot in Steamboat to carpool! We will meet in the parking lot closer to Anytime Fitness at 7:30am in hopes to be on the lake by 9:00 am.
You MUST have a fishing license to participate! You can purchase your license online at the Colorado Parks & Wildlife website, or at the State Parks office. Be sure to dress appropriately for cold, snowy weather, and bring any snacks, water, and ice fishing gear you may have. If you have never been ice fishing before, that’s okay! We will guide you along the way, and show you how fun it can be. The State Park will provide us with extra rods and augers for us as well. This event is free, however, we always accept monetary donations to cover any costs for bait and tackle, and for future Rocky Mountain Sportswomen events!
Please RSVP below so that we may know how many people to expect, and plan accordingly. Let us know if you have any questions, and we look forward to fishing with you!
